Join us for an evening course exploring the essential meanings of the famous Wisdoms of Ibn Ata Allah al-Iskandari:

The Hikam, or Wisdom, of the great scholar Ibn `Ata 'Allah al-Iskandari has long been acknowledged as an essential and classic masterwork of the Islamic science of purifying the soul. Ibn `Ata 'Allah exemplified the ultimate model of a Spiritual master possessed of a deep foundation in the sciences of the Qur'an, the way of the Prophet and the Universal Laws of the Islamic way of life, both outer and inner.

Short but immensely thought provoking, dense in their significance and insightfulness, crisp and sharp in their elucidation, the aphoristic Hikam are a true manifesto for those who are sincerely on the path of knowledge and awareness. This wisdom strips away our conventional responses to events, actions and phenomena, and encourage us to concentrate on the only true Reality, Allah.

This course is suitable for both absolute beginners as well as those who have studied Islamic faith and spirituality in the past.

About The Instructor

After graduating with a degree in Law and completing her LPC qualification, Ustadha Aliya Rahim left her career in Law and began her pursuit of sacred Islamic knowledge by completing the three year Micro Madrasa programme with Shaykh Ibrahim Osi-Efa, Shaykh Haroon Hanif, and Ustadha Nagheba Hayel. She then studied Arabic full-time for two years under Ustadh Umar Atri and Ustadh Tawfiq Baltah, as well as completing the Summer Dowra Programme in Tarim, Yemen, in 2019 under many of the most eminent male and female scholars of our time. She continues to further her studies privately.

​Ustadha Aliya Rahim has been a teacher for the Rawda Madrasa for children at Felicity House, Liverpool since its inception in 2017 and is also a teacher at Dar al-Zahra based in Liverpool, where she teaches young women (13-18) the rudimentary aspects of their faith.
