Ustadha Aliya Rahim
Born in Leeds, UK, Aliya Rahim graduated from the University of Leeds with a bachelor’s degree in Law. After completing the Legal Practice Course she chose to leave her career in Law and began seeking sacred knowledge and completed the three-year programme of Micro Madrasa, learning under Shaykh Ibrahim Osi Efa, Shaykh Haroon Hanif and Ustadha Nagebah. She then, studied the two year full-time Arabic course with Ustadh Umar Atri and Ustadh Tawfiq Baltah.
In 2019 she completed the Dowra Programme based in Tarim, Yemen under many eminent scholars such as al-Habib ‘Umar ibn Salim ibn Hafiz, Hababa Nur bint Muhammad al-Haddar and Ustadha Zaynab al-Khatib.
She studied various Islamic Sciences in Arabic with Shaykh Salih al Murabi and continues her studies privately in both sacred science and Arabic Language.
Aliya Rahim has been working as a teacher for the Rawda Madrasa for children at Felicity House, Liverpool since its inception in 2017 and is also a teacher at Dar al-Zahra based in Liverpool, where she teaches young women (13-18) the rudimentary aspects of their faith.
